Their wide range of specialty foods are beautifully presented to create a nostalgic teatime experience, and a magical moment for any gifting occasion. Their high-end hand-made products include quality Preserves & Chutneys, Sweet & Savoury Biscuits, Gift Boxes and Hampers.

After earlier success in both Australia and Japan, 2016 cemented Cartwright & Butler as a global brand by moving to the US market.

To further raise their profile, they needed an eCommerce website to convey a message of tradition, nostalgia and the essence of home produce to a modern, discerning consumer.They came to us with baskets of delicious treats and we started discussing the creative and functional requirements of their new eCommerce site.

The Solution

After meetings around mouth watering biscuits and sweets, we suggested Magento as the eCommerce platform of choice for the new Cartwright & butler eCommerce site, as this solution offered all the ecommerce functionality required. The Magento eCommerce admin interface also made the management of the product inventory a much simpler exercise. Project Scope of Works

An important prerequisite was that the new eCommerce site be responsive / mobile-friendly – to cater for users of all devices. Usability was also crucial, where the eCommerce site should skillfully lead users to purchase products step-by-step, creating a simple yet rich, interactive experience.

Google Analytics and eCommerce tracking was also implemented – to gather data on how the site is used, and in turn use that information to constantly improve the eCommerce website.

We expanded upon the brand guidelines to create a professional and luxurious eCommerce design, inline with their identity.

An exciting addition to the eCommerce site was the creation and implementation of a ‘hamper calculator’, where users were able to chose the products for their hamper of choice. This tool was not available on any other eCommerce websites at the site, and we were very proud of the result.
