Gorilla – TotalSports. Sports-Clothing & Accessories Brand – Lilo

Brief

Total Sports is a sports-clothing and accessories brand that enjoys high esteem in its specialised field. The client’s existing email template no longer reflected the true strength and capacity of their brand and the client opted for the re-design of their existing newsletter.

South African Outdoor Web Development agency, Gorilla, briefed Lilo on redesigning a newsletter template for the reputable sports label, Total Sports.

Lilo also partnered with Gorilla to design a dynamic Emarketing campaign for Total Sports. Totalsports wanted an engaging online advertisement in the form of microsite, showcasing their new range of replica soccer jerseys. These jerseys would be on sale at various Totalsports Outlets before and during the FIFA 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

Knowing that World Cup Replica jerseys would be widely promoted and available before and during the FIFA World Cup, the Lilo design guys had to conceptualise a unique and engaging emarketing Campaign that would stand out amidst the advertising efforts of other companies.

What We Did

The newly designed newsletter had to promote Total Sports’ news and products in an innovative and appealing way. Their unique client market would mostly be comprised of those interested in sports, outdoor activity and practicing a healthy lifestyle.

Gorilla provided Lilo with a variety of images and source material, enabling us to conceptualise a fresh, unique and brand-appropriate email design. The new email newsletter demonstrates a look and feel that matches Total Sports’ innovation and reputability in the field of sportswear and other related outdoor products. The email design successfully promotes the client’s products along with news, events and social networks in a relevant, uncluttered and “sporty” way.

For the microsite, we decided to design an interactive flash presentation, giving soccer fans the ability to not just view each country’s soccer jersey, but to also access relevant information concerning the participating teams and the various South African cities hosting these teams during the World Cup. Users can page through images of the jerseys and enjoy reading additional world cup information.
