And more importantly- and quite impressively really- Cult restores and releases well-renowned classics (as well as little known gems) to discerning audiences everywhere.
Cult approached us to modernise their website, as well as their sister site Shameless Screen Entertainment.
While both were to be upgraded and revamped, each site targeted a very specific market, which meant each should maintain their own style.

As was the case for Shameless’s website, Cult Films was originally built with WordPress, using the Woocommerce plugin in order to function as a online store – which the client wished to keep.
| We used this as the base for the new site setup, and improved it by adding new features and functionality.
The initial intention was to keep the design of the existing site, but as the creative brief process evolved, we started devising a new UX and look and feel. For example, a larger focus was placed on featuring products and categories on the home page, giving users much more insight as to what Cult was offering them. Deficiencies of the original site, such as the fact that it was not responsive / mobile-friendly, were fixed. Another request was for the site to be more accessible to search engines, we therefore implemented an SEO-friendly setup, which is best practice. For ease of use, the administration of both Cult and their sister site Shameless Screen Entertainment can be accessed via one login. |

The Result
The website we created has a classic and fine design, doing justice to the movies it showcases. The UX is intuitive, providing an enjoyable customer experience to Cult’s followers. The success of this project is based on our relationship with Cults’ talented team as our skills and their passion informed the final design and resulted in an engaging UX and finest design, paired with a solid ecommerce platform.
