The Chitra Collection is one of a kind, private collection of historic teawares. We had the privilege to work with them on the redesign and web development of their WordPress site.

The main objective was to expand their online reach and make the collection accessible to a wider audience. We focused on improving the promotion of their events and exhibitions, creativity and insight were key as we wanted the site to appeal to a more varied audience – from those who have just a passing interest in art or tea history, to those with a more academic and refined interest in the collection.

The previous website had become outdated and unattractive, a unique web development, UX and design were the best way to keep the site alive and attract more visitors. Chitra also required a more robust content management system that would help them showcase and manage their extensive list of items, events and exhibitions.

As part of the site restructure, we added a new inventory system to the web development functionality so that products can easily be filtered from hundreds of items.

The Result
We are all very pleased with both the process and the results of this web development project. For the collection, a new inventory system was implemented – with simple and advanced search functions so that products can easily be filtered from the hundreds of items. A new high-end design- perfectly reflecting the Collection’s unique items- was implemented to create a site to be proud of.
