Little House of Science teaches thousands of children each year in all STEM-related subjects in London and across the UK. They nurture children’s curiosity in how the world works and reinforce STEM-related subjects in an exciting, practical, and fun way. Lilo had previous experience with setting up similar education solutions for other clients.

Their artists (as well as graduates) are sent all over the globe to represent the company backstage at prestigious fashion shows and other events.

With an eye on wanting to reach a larger audience beyond their physical locations, this makeup school wished to implement an online version of their famous school.

This would enable users to learn the trade from over 50 of the world’s leading makeup artists, and give them the opportunity to become certified professional makeup artists.

They approached us to develop a bespoke platform to house their new online makeup school.

The Solution

For Little House of Science’s purposes, Lilo implemented a bespoke education CMS for creating/editing their content, as well as managing online booking/payments for their classes.

The site was developed to be fully SEO-and mobile-friendly, complying with all Google guidelines.

Peer to peer video conferencing functionality was added for students to view and engage with tutors.

For search engine optimisation (SEO), we researched and finalised a list of key phrases to target, such as “School science workshops”. The majority of chosen phrases ranked on page 1 of Google search results, which resulted in an increased amount of organic traffic.

Website Revamp – October 2018

Little House of Science asked Lilo to perform an update of the original school web design, tweaking site elements to create a more modern look.

The flow of making bookings was also changed,  streamlining the enrollment process so that new users can easily sign up their children for their choice of science classes.
