Well Done Nicolas on completing your journey!

2011

In January 2012 Nicolas Carvajal will be rowing unassisted across the Atlantic Ocean to raise awareness and support for Cancer research UK.

Lilo ‘jumped on board’ after Nicolas invited corporate sponsors to partner with him in this worthy cause. We will be developing and designing the website for the ‘Ocean Solo’ philanthropic program to give something back to the community.

To date there has only been 73 successful Atlantic crossings made by solo rowers. This is less than the amount of people who’ve climbed Mount Everest or ventured into space. News coverage and live website updates will keep the public on the edge of their seats as they witness this ‘Ocean Solo’ endurance adventure. The crossing distance is 2936 miles, which Nicolas aims to complete in approximately 70 – 80 days. Lilo will be designing and developing the creative web ‘force’ behind this expedition, keeping online viewers up to date with Nicolas’ every move and progress.

He has just completed this epic journey and is already preparing for his next quest.

Online Sales Increase During Christmas Holiday Season

2011

A record number of people were predicted to shop online this December Holiday and the latest figures released by ComScore seem to confirm an increase in online sales during the 2010 December Holidays.

In the U.S alone, Americans spent around 30.8 billion dollars in online shopping during the 2010 festive season. Online shopping in the U.S increased with an average of 13 percent when comparing it to the previous year’s December holiday spending.

In Europe and the UK extreme weather conditions caused a number of people to do their Christmas shopping on the web. Ecommerce is fast becoming a more convenient and even cost-effective solution for people. Retail experts have predicted the biggest ever start to post-Christmas sales due to the UK VAT increase from 17.5 percent to 20 percent on the 4th of January. Forrester Research put out a new five-year forecast recently, predicting a 10 percent compound annual growth rate through 2014 for Ecommerce in the U.S.

With fewer overheads, less cost to company and round-the-clock retail hours, we can expect even more retailers to take their products online this year. If you would like to know how you can get an ecommerce or SEO website solution - allowing you to take a slice of these staggering figures - contact us today or view our service offerings.

Another Innovative Season’s Greeting Card

2011

We recently launched our annual end-of-year Christmas greeting card. Every year we have the opportunity to send out a fun, festive corporate greeting card to both our clients and partners. This project gives our creative team the opportunity to conceptualize something that’s unique and visually striking.

During the past consecutive years we’ve tackled this creative Ecard challenge from various angles, experimenting with different genres and formats. This festive season we decided to employ aspects of the graphic novel genre in a way that would be effective online. We briefed our illustrator on the concept, objective and execution and together we discussed the style and format of the project.

The 2010 Christmas Ecard was designed and developed to show clients and partners our appreciation for their ongoing support. Our 2010 Ecard was designed to wish our clients a happy festive season while giving them a unique, artistic experience of the web.

Simply Great Marketing: Simply Removals moves Cameron Family to No 10 Downing Street

2010

Lilo was approached to rebrand UK based Removals Company, Simply Removals. The new brand encompasses an illustrative feel, and was recently rolled out nationwide across their entire fleet of vehicles. The newly designed logo and brand was incidentally made public via the perfect platform and occasion.

Thanks to the brand-power of the media and today’s news article posted on the Daily Mail, Simply Removals won’t have to try too hard to generate brand-recognition. It ‘simply’ took one reputable client and a snapshot of their removal vehicle in the background to give them the type of publicity most removal companies can only dream of. Simply Removals got commissioned to move British Prime Minister, David Cameron and his family to their new home in West London.

Without any mention of Simply Removals’ name in the news article itself, the bold “Simply Removals” signage on the side of their removals vehicle was conveniently photographed as part of this top UK news story’s online image gallery. Thanks to unintentional, generous photo journalism, Simply Removals now has free logo-placement on one of the UK’s most popular news sites. What more could you ask for?
