Shapero’s website was a large eCommerce platform based on WordPress, presenting serious challenges to user experience and overall performance. As the website expanded in size and complexity, loading times was slow, causing visitor’s frustration and seriously impacting the site’s usability.

This issue was affecting Shapero’s ability to sell, as potential buyers were driven away by the sluggishness of the site.

The website design failed to capture users’s attention as it did not meet the standards expected in today’s digital landscape and fell short in showcasing Shapero’s wide range of products. All this resulted in a decline in both revenue and site organic traffic.

By revamping Shapero’s website design and implementing improvements through Magento to optimize its performance, the user experience was enhanced to attract more customers, boosting both revenue and organic traffic.

The Solution

We recommended a Magento 2 solution, which could easily accommodate Shapero current inventory, and also scale for future growth. For the Shapero blog, we suggested keeping it on WordPress (because of its strong set of blog-specific features), and integrated it into the main Magento solution. We discussed how the existing WordPress platform needed to be improved and it was decided to redesign the website and migrate it to a Magento platform. Project Scope of Works

The website’s UX and design went through a complete transformation: a visually appealing design was created, providing users with an enjoyable experience.

After the redesign, Shapero’s Magento site saw an improvement in performance. The website is now running smoothly and is able to handle and process a wider catalogue with more purchase requests and orders.

Thanks to the improvement in user experience, Shapero shoppers increased in number and their engagement began to rise as well. The goals for the new Magento website, to encourage users to spend more time on the site and to make a purchase, were achieved as users seemed to be happier to stick around.

We also implemented a strong Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) strategy and the results were good. The strategy was able to increase visibility which in turn resulted in an increase in sales and revenue. We used keyword targeting to ensure that Shapero users could find the site easily. Our SEO team also used Google Ads and linkbuilding to boost website visibility and increase sales and revenue.
